Why You Want to Pay More for Wine
Sep 27, 2017
(Wine-Searcher) - Price was the big topic when the US wine world's suits got together in Napa.
You're going to pay more for wine next year and you're going to like it.
That was one of the principal takeaways from the Wine Industry Financial Symposium, a two-day seminar in Napa for the CEOs and CFOs of wineries. It's California-focused but draws participants from other states, though none with grape-stained hands: all people in suits. A woman I sat with at lunch explained in thrilling detail how, overcoming tremendous obstacles, she migrated some company's software to QuickBooks (I kept imagining switching bodies with Eric Asimov; WWEAD?).
