For a Public research institute in the Luxembourg.
Responsabilities
The researcher will actively contribute to the research activities in a recently established research group that aims at studying food quality as well as the relation of food ingredients on biomarkers of health, in a ‘crop to consumer’ approach.
Missions
You will work on research projects aiming at studying the impact of soil (cultivation, cover, humus) and plant protection strategies on grape health and wine quality.
You should develop an interdisciplinary team approach. Toward this end you will be expected to take advantage of substantial opportunities for collaboration within the department, such as with the analytical platforms, as well as outside the department with the national viticulture institute and wine producers.
Cursus and qualifications required
Candidates should hold a Master degree and 4 years experience in a similar position or a PhD, in viticulture and oenology with competences in the execution of field trials and field observations in vineyards. The candidate should have sound knowledge in grape- and vine-related phytopathological aspects.
The candidate must have a record of publications in peer reviewed scientific journals.
The ability to work productively in a team environment is an essential attribute.
English (scientific exchanges) and French (administrative language) are a prerequisite; knowledge of German will be considered as an advantage.
Working contract
Contrat à Durée Indéterminée.
Salary
4000 euros nets per month.
